Dear Parents,

      Thursday, February 13^th and Friday, February 14^th are Teachers’ Convention days- no school for students.

      Monday, February 17^th is Family day-no school for students.

The K-5 Family Dance was very well attended and a great success.  Whether it was dancing, the photo booth, crafts, treats or glow sticks, there was something for everyone.  Many parents danced with their children and everyone had a great time.  Thank you to Carrie Schectl-Fryer and Judie Fedora for their work in preparing the dance and to the Leadership students who helped out.

Les Bucherons made two presentations at Elboya School on Tuesday, February 11^th, one in English and the second in French. Students learned about Canadian history, explorers and sang several songs. It was fun, informative and interesting.

School Council Meeting

Our next School Council Meeting is on Wednesday, February 19^th at 7 P.M. in the Library. Everyone is invited to attend. Please see attached agenda for more information.

Western Canada Information Day- Mr. Siakaluk

On Tuesday, February 18^th, a representative from Western Canada High School will visit our Grade 9 students to discuss the High School registration process.

Carnaval- Mme. Boutcheva

Carnaval d’Elboya will take place on Tuesday February 18^th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with Cabane à Sucre (Maple Syrup Taffy) for Grades K-9 and indoor and outdoor activities for K-6. Students should wear warm clothes appropriate for the weather: boots, mittens, hats, and warm jackets.

CBE technology outage-Feb. 15-17

This weekend (Feb. 15-17) there will be a system-wide technology outage that will affect all CBE IT systems and technologies. During this time there will be no access to any CBE websites or technology. Students are encouraged to make alternative arrangements to complete work or activities that would require CBE computer systems.
