Gr 8 Science – Telus Spark
We are looking for 6 parent volunteers for our Science 8
field trip on February 23rd. In order to volunteer you must have your
Police Clearance up to date.
If you are able to accompany us on this field trip, please
send an email to Mr.Bard (jkbard@cbe.ab.ca)
Reminder
Winter is in full swing and it takes extra time to travel to
and from school. It is very important that students arrive at school no later
than 8:45 a.m. in order to be in class ready to learn at 8:50 a.m. When
students are late, their arrival disrupts the learning of those who take the
time and trouble to be on time. We understand that emergencies do happen, but
these are not daily. We ask everyone to make the effort to be on time to
school. Classes start at 8:50
Missing
Children
Again this week we had a child reported missing, in this
instance at 4:50 p.m. on January 5th. This is a very frightening
experience for the student, parents and school staff. Unfortunately for school
staff, it is becoming a common though no less frightening experience and we
have had several such incidents this school year. We are unable to continue and are looking for
alternate solutions.
Children need to be picked up by 3:40 p.m. Monday to
Thursday and 1:40 by Friday. Be advised the school closes at 4:00 p.m and 2:00 p.m on Friday.
Parents who
will be late need to call the Main Office at 403-777-7760 ext 0.
Students in Kindergarten through Grade 6 wait for parents in
the Main Office until 4 p.m.
Your help is required to ensure that neither children,
parents, or staff are not placed in the situation of not knowing where a child
or parent is. Thank you.
